The Omni-Amp™III Signal Amplifier is an ac powered general purpose instrumentation amplifier. The Omni-Amp III accepts different inputs, and has amplification gains of 10x, 100x or 1000x, selectable by jumper. For added versatility, a temperature sensor is attached to the input terminal block in order to provide the reference junction temperature for thermocouple measurements. With this, thermocouples can be linearized easily without worry of cold junction compensation errors. The Omni-Amp III operates on 115 Vac, with a compact power transformer and line cord, to provide the necessary 12 Vac. Two 9 volt batteries may also be used for power with reduced capabilities. Also, + and - 10 volt supplies are available at the input terminals for use with 4-wire bridge type transducers, such as pressure transducers, strain gages, and load cells.
